Our Candidate Charter outlines the commitment of the Constabulary Recruitment team to provide the highest standards of service to our candidates at all times. It provides our responsibilities to candidates and what we need from candidates to enable us to provide them with the very best service.
We expect recruitment staff to:
- Provide a professional and transparent service to all candidates while adhering to the relevant policies, standards, processes, and procedures
- Make every effort to understand each candidates' circumstances and work together with candidates as they progress through the selection process
- Fully explain our processes, requirements, timelines, and expectations to candidates
- Treat candidates with respect, courtesy, and integrity at all times
- Provide candidates with professional, constructive and honest feedback
- Provide candidates with regular communication throughout the selection process and while in the Candidate Pool
- Treat candidates personal data with the utmost confidentiality and care at all times
- Respond to candidate queries or requests in a professional and timely manner.
We expect our candidates to:
- Be knowledgeable about and prepared for the recruitment process with NZ Police
- Provide honest, complete and accurate information when requested
- Update us regarding any changes to their personal or professional details/circumstances
- To prepare appropriately for each step in the selection process, including Assessment Day, Formal Interview and PAT.
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times when interacting with our staff
- Promptly inform our staff if they are unable to attend any steps in the selection process, including Assessment Day, Formal Interview and PAT.
- Treat all interactions with our staff confidentially
- Give us open and honest feedback about their experience, either directly, through our praise & complain function, or through the application satisfaction survey.
